Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Great food and service. Too bad about these Yelp reviews, my experience was closer to the UrbanSpoon and Google reviews. Stopped for dinner with a large group of friends. We all ordered a variety of pizza and subs. The Greek pizza I ordered was really delicious, good amount of gyro and feta. And it's the only pizza place I've seen with a full spice rack for customers to try different things. I wish I would've tried more of what the others ordered, we all left pretty satisfied. Would definitely come back again.

I would definitely come back. I would not consider it a place for fast food, though. The man at the counter, I assume the owner, was very polite and answered our questions and gave us recommendations. We ordered food from both sides of the menu, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, fresh pita, falafel, gyro, shwarma, and Chicken Florentine calzone. Portions were great if not huge, I definitely took home the leftovers for lunch the next day.

I don't know how this excuses for a restaurant stays open... Food is okay, but it's way over priced and takes too long to come out... Service is terrible and they are probably not up to code. The guy came out and took my order in flip flops, which is against local health regulations

We were short on time and needing lunch, so we dropped in at Pizza Leo. We were the ONLY diners in their restaurant. We ordered some hummus , a salad and a sandwich , which took them 25 minutes to deliver . When we finally ran out of time , we asked them to pack it to go. We felt that at minimum , the hummus could have been served. We also felt that as the only diners, during lunch on a work day, they should have moved a little faster.

This place deserves negative ratings for the service, which was so bad I never even got to the food (and will never). I placed an order, and was told 45-55 minutes. At 55, I called and asked after the order. Was told that the driver was en route, and it would be 10 minutes at most. After another 20 minutes (1 hour, 15 after the order) I called again. Apparently, the driver made some sort of "mistake" (though I never heard what that was). The woman on the phone was very apologetic, and offered me a free drink or maybe $10 off the next order - not much, but something I guess. She promised it would be only 10 more minutes max. The driver showed up 20 minutes later...1 hour, 35 minutes after the order. The food, not surprisingly, was stone cold. I rejected the order - the driver tried to tell me the food wasn't cold for some reason. Therefore I called to cancel the order. Despite knowing it was me when I called (they knew on previous calls), she attempted to place me on hold. I refused, and told her they needed to cancel the order due to the food being cold. Got no apology this time, though they say they cancelled the order - we'll see if that actually happens. Long story short - don't bother.

ok. so this review should still be 2.5. I will say the owner/manager type person sent me a bunch of coupon links to make up for what I thought was a little pricey for average pizza. I hope they take notes on the skimpy toppings. (see profile pic) Again, the pizza wasn't bad. It just wasn't amazing. Use a coupon, it may be worth it.

Used to love their pizza and salads. Pizza is now worse than dominos , salads not fresh, and service declined. Need to find a new pizza delivery :-(

Not too shabby! Menu is as complicated as a bifurcation diagram, but if you know what you like, they most likely can make it. Pizza was pretty good, cheese steak tasted nice, but the cannoli was a bit plain, and the Greek salad was just plain. I dont think it is fair to call something a Greek Salad if you just throw some feta cheese on it and serve it with a vinaigrette. But here I am complaining about a Greek Salad I got from a Pizza Place, who's the real moron in this picture. Would love to give it more stars, but since I had to break out the graphing calculator just to navigate the menu and the delivery guy stared at my chest the whole time, only 3 stars....NO SOUP FOR YOU!

  • Mike W.

One of the worst meals I have ever had. Not only was the delivery 40 minutes later than they promised but the food was bland and tasteless. The fettuccine Alfredo tasted like noodles cooked in water. I paid $10 for that dish and I want my money back. Maybe I was wrong ordering pasta from a pizza place but I had no idea it would be that awful. My friends said their subs were gross and bland and the delivery guy even made an excuse when he got to the apartment that it was our fault it took so long because he had to come up to our floor. He had our cell phone numbers and knew which apartment it was and could have had us buzz him in. Do not waste your money here.

We've given up on Pizza Leo. The last time we ordered, we got a pepperoni pizza that arrived with exactly 1.5 pieces of pepperoni per slice. If someone has a recommendation for a good pizza place that delivers in 20906, please let me know.

Ordered a cheeseburger with fries and my husband ordered lasagna. We're in town for my husbands surgery so doing a lot of food delivery orders from the hotel. The burger patty was so dried out and frost bitten and the fries so greasy, that I couldn't eat it. I'm by no means overly picky about burgers and fries either. After finding the lasagna under all the cheese and sauce, my husband said the lasagna was edible but nothing he'd willingly eat again. Also got "chocolate cake". I really think they just found a way to solidify chocolate frosting, as that's all it was.... Whoever put it in the box man handled it quite a bit as well. I'm pretty sure we got at least 3-4 full fingerprints on the sides of the " cake".

Don't waste your time with this place. Ordered online at 10:10pm tonight and it's 11:45pm and nothing!!!! They close at 10:30pm so no one is there to pick up the phone. Who runs a business like that and takes people's money? According to the rest of the reviews, they should've been out of business years ago. I live 1.6 miles away btw.

My pizza had enough toppings, unlike others noted. It was fine. Not great. I've tasted better so am not likely to order from here again. It is a little pricey but so are a lot of other pizza joints in this area. Delivery took about an hour.

i have been wanting to try this place since it changed hands but i must say this is one of the worst restaurants i have ever eaten at. 1st off when i went to order the girl at the counter was very nice to me but had no knowledge of the menu. then when she yelled back to her father to help her he yelled back to her that he was busy. then he finally came out and i told him i wanted the chicken Shawarma sandwich but i wanted everything separate that meant the ingredients separate from the bread so i could eat it separately. well it came separate in a little container with a few little pcs of chicken 2 pcs of thinly cut tomato slices cut in 1/2 wilty lettace and the ends of what i think was an onion. no sauce for it but i must say the homemade pita was good . also ordered a pizza and asked for xtra sauce xtra cheese and mushrooms the crust tasted like a frozen crust and the sauce had very little taste. this was the worst 20 bucks i ever spent. and the owner claims he was a chef. i'd hate to see where he use to cook at. i had 2 resturants in the past and 1 of them was a pizza resturant and on a bad day my pizza tasted better than this junk pizza. i hope he gets out of the food business and finds a new carrier that he's better at. i will never go back to this dump/dive. and giving it a "1" rating is being nice

The first time I ordered a chicken gyro it was alright and then I ordered a second time and they forgot my friend's order. The dressing they have for the side salad is disgusting. It stinks of hot sauce and looks like watered down tomato soup. The fettucine was nothing more than plain noodles with bread crumbs and mozzarella cheese dumped on top. It was more like a casserole, no cream sauce and worst of all they added cinnamon to it - yes, cinnamon and there were actually pieces of cinnamon stick in the fettucine. When I called to complain, the guy said he didn't have the other order on their ticket (no shit, because you forgot it) and refused to deliver it because they were closing. On top of that he was like "i don't know who you talked to when you ordered" - it was you, you dumb fuck I just talked to you 45 minutes ago.

This place is the dumps. I ordered a chicken and cheese submarine sandwich (how elementary!) and what I received was stale, half-hardened bread with gyro shavings and iceberg shreds inside. I am usually wary of all-in-one joints - pizza!greek!deli!andmore - unless I'm in Manhatten, and now I remember why. Are these people crazy? Or are we crazy? How on EARTH could this restaurant be standing and alive?? Oh, Rockville.....

Never again!! One star is too many!!! My office has ordered delivery from Asteroids (same company as Pizza Leo) a few times in the past. It never fails, they ALWAYS forget SOMETHING, if not a few things. This was the last straw today. They told us delivery would be 45 mins - it was 1hr 15mins. They ordered/delivered double of one entree, when we ordered only 1, and charged us for it. We ordered 2 sandwich COMBOS. (combo comes w/fries and drink). They delivered only 1 order of fries and the sodas were charged extra!! They charged $6 "open food" and there was nothing to show for that. On top of all that - any food that was meant to be crispy was soggy, any food meant to be juicy was dry. I called to complain and let the manager know of the discrepancies on my order and he didn't even care - he told me I was wrong, when I've got the receipt and prices right here in my hand. He insisted he gave me what I ordered/paid for. He did not. He kept arguing with me on every point. He told me they never give a 45 minute estimate for delivery - always 55 mins for a large order (our order was less than 10 items) and I said - ok, well even if you had told us 55 mins, it took 1hr 15 mins - he said 'I don't believe that'. I thought at least they would offer me a discount for 'next time' which I'd never use anyway, but the manager was extremely rude to me.

NEVER EVER EVER EAT HERE. THE OWNER (she said she was the owner although I doubt it) IS RUDE, THE FOOD WAS COLD IT TOOK AN HOUR AND 20 MINS FOR THE FOOD TO BE DELIVERED AND I QUESTION THEY FOLLOW HEALTH STANDARDS. My husband has been in the restaurant business for over 20 years so I rarely ever complain about anyone in the service industry. I have never been so disgusted by the way I was treated by a service industry person ever. I was told my food would be 45 minutes, at an hour and 10 I called to check. It got here an hour and 20 later, cold. I called and the woman who claimed to be the owner was beyond terrible and rude. Because the food was cold and I was not overly thrilled with this she got nasty and wanted to send someone to come get the food, not replace the food. I told her that that was unsanitary and I was sure the health department wouldn't approve. She offered me in a very nasty tone then a 10% discount. This is absolute the worst service. She originally claimed to be the manager, then the owner's daughter and then the owner... they are also obviously not only COMPLETELY RUDE AND NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL BUT DISHONEST TOO. Even heated up the food was not good, the gyro tasted like the meat was bad or old, I had to throw it out because it literally turned my stomach and I love gyros. Domino's has better pizza than this place. Save yourself the indigestion and the headache of dealing with horribly rude people, go somewhere else. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I had one bad experience with them back in October, and then had a terrible experience last night. They took 70 minutes to deliver our food (we were told 45 to 50 minutes on the phone), and when it arrived, it was cold, greasy, and part of the order was missing. It really didn't matter that my husband's food wasn't there, since we didn't eat it anyway. But when I called the store (about 4 minutes after the delivery guy handed us the food) and complained, I was given the run around. I was told that a manager would need to call me back, which he never did. When I called again, 90 minutes later, I was told that I would be given a $10 credit towards future food (ha, right), and the manager was really rude to me. I called this morning and spoke with the owner, who basically accused me of trying to scam them for free food. This place is AWFUL, and you should not purchase from them.

We have not tried the pizza, but everything else we had was a joke. Everything in the salad had an odd taste, the sub was pathetic and extremely salty. Canollis were not filled, just a "dot" at each end, the shells tasted stale as well.

Had a very bad experience with Pizza Leo...This is the worst food we've had in a long time. I ordered the salmon kabob & my friend got the Meat Souvlaki. It arrived quickly in only 30 mins, but the meat souvlaki was totally cold & we had no idea what type of meat it was. It had so many onion chunks it was more like an onion sandwich. My friend had me taste his because it was so awful. There were just a few dry hard pieces of something resembling rocks. My salmon was so hard & cold that I could only have a couple bites of it & my mouth was sore. We ended up tossing out both the souvlaki & the salmon. I was shocked that food was so bad. Heating both items in the micro did nothing except heat it and make it harder. We'll definitely look elsewhere next time.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
